As part of my job, we host a Small Business Innovation Series that helps local shops, non-profits, and service providers update their location on Google maps, navigate social media marketing, and meet the everyday challenges of being a business owner. Personally, I’ve been using Google Maps to plan short to long road trips around the country. I like to list family affordable attractions, great food joints, and unique breweries. When traveling, I just pull up my saved map on the phone and go to the nearest attraction or restaurant. It takes the guess work out of “what to do next” or “what is nearby”. I also use it to mark my favorite attractions and restaurants for a repeat visit. It fun using the various icons to mark favorite camping spots, museums, or coffee shops.
