Yes, i want to add a route to maps
My mother recently got transferred there, the maps shows us route which is 7-8 kilometres longer.
And as she usually gets a cab we have to pay 100-150 extra
The route in the picture attached is the shortest i want to add that route
Are you sure that the route drawn by you is perfectly motor-able & the road is in good condition?
Maps app does show the route expected by you, for walking directions.
You should not land up in a situation as described vividly in this embedded link.
Yes, i am 100% sure it is motorable
Uber shows this route too.
So is it possible to add it to Google maps?
Yes you can do that.
Add “Pintu Fancy Store” and " “Sandhu Dairy & Agriculture Farm” as intermediate stopover points. The route will follow then the path you wished.
Alternatively, on a desktop, you can drag the suggested route to follow the desired path, and then send that to your phone.
this is interesting. As we can see on your screenshot, the road is available to Uber in Google Maps. So it means that all the road are present on Maps.
What about your setting, @Mayankashraj ?
Do you have some active setting like “avoid pay tolls” or “avoid highway”?
This will of course influence the choice of the road, according to your preferences. Google Maps is usually suggesting the fastest way, not the shortest one.
No i don’t have any filters on, uber shows this route but as soon the drivers click on navigate which is through Google maps boom there goes the route
So there is no way to add this route on Google maps permanently?
When you are confident about a particular route, you can plan that by selecting intermediate stopover points. Here is a screenshot showing the same. It appears to be motor-able.
