I think people that have achieved big milestones in Google maps deserve a recognition plaque( kind of like the youtube plaque) what do you all think?

I personally would not be motivated by getting such thing. I would prefer to get early access to accessibility related improvements as a motivation to go on trying to improve maps. If a reward is your motivation to participate in localguides programm, I think “google opinion rewards” will serve you better.

Your idea is good.
In my opinion, rather than materialistic rewards it should be good if local guides with high levels and achievements should be offered some privileges in Google maps.
Like local guides often have problems in posting reviews, pictures and videos.its cause is very hard to predict.
Even though a local guide is level 10,he/she will face problems in editing a incorrect information in some areas.
There are many problems faced by local guides every day.
So in my opinion,local guides should get some previlages to overcome this hurdles.
