Hi guys, let me introduce myself.
My name is Carla and I am a Venezuelan mom and journalist living in Budapest since 2017. Coming from a country without laws, Google Maps was something new for me when we arrive at this amazing country.
Basically, we came to live in the most beautiful city in the world, but even having Hungarian roots we don’t know much about the city… less with a baby. So Google Maps was converted to my best friend and help me a lot to meet my new home place.
Since this moment I made me a promise, help other persons to have the best experience as possible in Budapest, and why not? even around the world.
Since this momment, I met a lot of people visit my new city and I have the opportunity to share important information about locals, stores, services and historical points in Hungary as a Latin immigrant living in Budapest.
One of my focus like Local Guides is informing about the conditions of the locals and the attitude of the staff because sometimes in Budapest not exist a good relationship between the Expats community and the local workers, paying special attention in access for kids and people with limited movement.
#LocalGuides inspire me to write more about my hometown and my new home and for this, I have a blog and a Facebook and Instagram accounts to share fresh information.
I´m very excited about the idea of assisting this year to the ConnectLive, but if this doesn’t happen I would like to meet local Guides how to visit my lovely Budapest to share experiences.
