Google Maps iOS App: Photo upload

Hello to you all,

Why is it that when I upload photos through the current iOS app, I can’t access albums, locations, or search? That would make it much easier. What do you think?

Thanks for reaching out.

As described in this article, here are the steps to upload photos from your iOS device:

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open your Gallery app or Google Photos

  2. Select a photo or video.

  3. Tap Share, then Post to Google Maps

    • If you can’t find that option, tap More,

      Post to Google Maps, Done

  4. Choose where to post:

    • If it’s clear where your photo or video is from, Google Maps selects a place for you.
    • If not, tap Pick a place and search for an address or place.

  5. Tap Post.

By the way, I am going to remove the German language label from your post, because you are writing in English.
