Google Maps India #LookBeforeYouLeave Campaign.

Lately, I have been admiring Google Commercials on the television. I thought should share it with the community. The visualization these commercials are amazing. I know these are like purely customised to India. Even the language is Hindi. I Felt other local guides could be inspired by these commercials.

My Personal Favourite of all. Aircraft Pilot who is late

Typical Indian Wedding Garland Delay

Typical Cricket Match Scenario.

Typical Indian Wedding.

Thank you for the post. I have noted these campaigns too and posting these here is indeed a good idea.

Infact I do look before I leave so that I can plan my trip and thanks to Google Maps for that.

Cheers!

Cool @deepak_bhalla . That has been a trend nowadays.

Each and everyone has been doing the same by using Google Maps to avoiding the toll, Get to the destination faster and for a lot more.

But what I fear is that by using Maps a lot we are losing the sense of spatial ability which we earlier had to navigate from one place to another without this aided help.

One of my friend who lives in the same city for more than 5 years. In spite of that, he still uses google maps for his daily commutation. It’s a lot of positivity on one side getting to know live traffic beforehand. But I don’t know how far his spatial ability is degraded. He purely relies on the voice assistance for his turns which is a bit scary.

Ciao @ErmesT ,

You’re Welcome and wish you the same hope Google makes similar videos for all other countries too.

I have recently attended Google Developer Days in Bangalore, India. Most of the talks there were focussed on the next billion users who are mostly from South East Asian Countries or African Countries. That could be one of the possible shift of Google Launching GO version (Lite Version) for their OS, Youtube Go, Files Go, Google Go, Maps Go. Its like they have restructured their whole framework to support the next billion.

Another possible strange connection could be that the CEO Sundar Pichai is from India.

@aashishvanand agreed, total dependency like in your friend’s case is also not advisable. But on the brighter side trips can be planned well with the help of Google Maps.

During my recent trip from Delhi to Amritsar I was totally dependent on Google Maps, it helped us land directly on the hotel’s door which we have booked.
