I just want to verify the information which I heard from a local guide who claimed himself as a Google Local Guide Representative. When I ask him how he gained this title, he replied that he entered an exam and he passed.
Is it correct? Does this exam really exist?

Please take a few minutes to review out Terms and Conditions, to be sure how one can become a Local Guide, what are levels and contributions and what are the program rules. You can also review once again the Points, levels, and badging and the Add to Google Maps and earn badges, where you can find all the levels and badges a Local Guide can reach in the program.
I think this will answer your question, that what your friend told you is not officially true for the Local Guides Program.
Also just to remind you whenever you think a Local Guide is violating the program rules and you wish to report this, feel free to tag a Google Moderator. We will reach out back with further instructions.
