Google Maps, Culture and Nature Photography

My goal as a local guide has been providing a review of my visits to help other prospective visitors make an informed decision.

Personally, I do not like taking pictures; however, Google Maps has a way of getting me to take pictures, even when I do not feel like. I like google map’s interaction and subtle reminders.

This spring is significant for me, especially the Cherry blossoms viewing in Japan; I fell in love with my environment.

Most Japanese love the spring season because of the mild weather, cherry blossoms and the Golden Week. In my experience, an average Japanese is moved by nature and they are obviously quick to take pictures to capture their nature moments. Cherry Blossoms viewing is such a big deal in Japan and I eventually got caught in the cherry blossoms fever, thanks to google maps and the Japanese.

Nature Photography has never been my thing, neither do I really appreciate or savour my natural surroundings until I ventured to take a picture of the beautiful landscape and budding flowers; I discovered the peace in revelling in your own piece! While I was yet adoring the picture I have taken, google map asked, “Is this a picture of …?’’ I uploaded my first nature picture and I rediscovered myself as a lover of nature in its essence, who is eager to help others make an informed decision about their visits.

I am now considering getting a sophisticated camera…
