I am highlighting an article titled “Here’s why this banner in Goa is ‘warning’ tourists against Google Maps for last one year” which appeared in a prominent newspaper the Times of India on 18th February.
The article highlights how maps app is creating a detour.
I had also placed a similar problem at other locations. How can such incorrect detours be pointed out to have.those resolved?

Also experienced one more problem. Sometimes the navigation routes through extremely narrow by-lanes which are difficult to traverse by a standard four-wheeler. How can improvements be suggested in that? Edit

@C_T If one finds that Google Maps direction during a route is wrong, one can report the wrong direction. Refer to this link and the relevant sections on how to report on PC, Android or iOS

It’s always a best idea to report the direction issue. Do follow the link shared by @StephenAbraham . If the issue is not fixed for longer time do post it in Google Maps & Earth Forum as mentioned by @deepakjhic .
