Hello @FeraciniR
From the functionality point of view, there isn’t much difference.
However, the following two features are missing on the iPhone version.
Direct access to street-view from Maps. However, you can have a standalone SV app.
Questions about visited places.
Nevertheless, even android users do not get a specific feature for many days while the version remains the same.
Thus, the latest UI where the “Contribute” option appears at the bottom, is available in certain regions only.
Similarly, the elevation graph for walking directions isn’t available in many regions.
Another few differences - on iOS we aren’t able to add a missing road (draw a new road) in the same way as android users.
I have also noted that android users can report temporary road closures (e.g. a crash blocking the highway), whereas this option isn’t present currently on the iOS version - iOS only allows suggestions for permanent road closures.
Hi @FeraciniR , you can refer to the Google maps official help page. In there you will find a detailed explanation of all the functions for Android, Desktop and IOS. Of course, as Google Maps is developed on Android, some feature on IOS can be improved on a later stage, or be a bit different.
