Google Maps Add Place requires more guidance instructions,Nonsensical location names are rising.

While adding a new place to Google Maps, more guides and instructions are required from the Google Maps team, because some places have nonsensical names and are not detailed, which are private places and private properties that funny names miss dealing with map finders, so there is a need to moderate or find out some funny names. Place added to remove, and for new additions, at least read the offered directions there to focus out.

Feel free to suggest edits to correct business names that are not following the guidelines. If added just for fun, you can suggest they be closed permanently or mark them as non-existing.

If you want Google Maps to block users from violating the guidelines when creating new places - I fully agree.

I understand what you are recommending, but my main concern is that if there are instructions already provided below the text field in brackets, people should be warned to add the hilarious place name before Google publishes it. It’s just my point of view may be I m wrong to express ,

Suggesting gmap team and then the action made is receiving 24 hours time, if you start by providing nite below text box, I guess its impact will be at least 80% …

As you can see there are a lot of detailed guidelines for each field. So I’m afraid it is not feasible to mention or explain all of them on the form.

What I would rather like to see is a validation filter that makes it impossible for business owners and others to add category and location information and marketing slur in the name field. And when using ALL CAPS for names longer than 4 letters it will not be saved.
