Google Mapping On The Open Road

While I will always consider Boston, Massachusetts my one and true home, the last 5 months have found me on the open road exploring, learning, and living. It all started with a trailer for my motorcycle and an open itinerary to see where my whims would take me. Boston is cold and snowy in the winter so my first desire was to channel my inner migratory bird and get myself south. The open road has given me some amazing adventures so far, but also thrown in some heart break. Through it all, I’ve found myself using Google Maps on an almost daily basis. Sometimes it would be nothing more than simple directions to the next location, but other times Google Maps became my tour guide or even on occasion, my savior.

I care about sharing my experiences on Google Maps because I like the idea of helping travelers, in the same way that others have helped me. Reading reviews, opinions, and tips for interesting locations makes the decisions I make on the road that much easier. Hopefully what I write will help my fellow travelers likewise. I like writing about food, but I’m more passionate about writing about experiences. I enjoy finding the obscure and off the beaten path things and seeing them for myself. I like engaging all 5 senses when I travel. I like to learn something new everyday, and sharing a bit of what I learn with the Google community.
