Google map lost photos in my constribution History

Hi , I was checking the photos that I have post on Google map , to look the total views. And find out that the history don’t include about 12 photos that I can found on the location photos gallery but, are not included on my contribution history. So I can’t know how many view they 12 photos generate on my history of contributions. Can you check if I deleted by error? Can I have them back on my contribution photo list?

Hello @Nosaint2_Rafael_Fe

I find around 82 numbers of your photos are now private. You can still find those in “by you” section but others can’t see those. Try looking at the POI in a guest mode of browser and then you will realise that.

Hi @Nosaint2_Rafael_Fe

If you want to know more details on how you can find out how many of your photos are made private please check my post on Dare you check?

Cheers

Morten

@C_T . @MortenCopenhagen . thanks, So I read both of your post. I don’t have a laptop or PC; what I have access is a 7 inch tablet, and my phone. I try to use the incognito option, I just cant do it. Anyway, I still don’t understand what I did, or don’t make , that provoke my photos go on a private mode. And I’m confuse is there is a way to transfer back them to public.

I still learning, I’m posting every two weeks on connect, and using Google Map when ever I can Go out , now that we are in a low restricted lockdown because of Covid. Any idea?

Hi @Nosaint2_Rafael_Fe

Some of your photos could be hidden because the place was removed from the map. One example could be a shop that closed permanently. This is not your fault. So having 0 percent hidden pics is not possible.

Also, photos can be flagged hidden because they don’t follow all the guidelines for photos. Some of the most frequent mistakes include faces, selfies, group photos, dark and blurry pics, duplicates, near-duplicates and pics uploaded to the wrong place.

We can’t help you know why your pics were made private since we for obvious reasons can’t see your hidden pics.

Google does not provide the tools to find and remove hidden pics. As long as this is the case you should not be concerned too much about it.

Cheers

PS I took a look at your public photos. Many are really great and helpful, but you have a habit of sharing a lot of near-duplicate photos. Foods seen from different angles are not adding extra value for Maps users and should normally not be uploade. Only one shot of each dish.
