Google has come a long way from being the app for technical Know-Hows to an app that can be operated by anyone with basic knowledge. With the new features of Google MAP (Moving 360 degree images viewer, reviews of known places selected and many more), to eradicate the problem faced with certain questions like:
- How will people get to the venue;
- How will they know when they get to the exact location;
- What is the fastest and best route to get to the venue;
- Are there any hospitality centers (hotels and guest houses) around the venue for lodging purposes;
- What will be the estimated travel time;
- Vendors within the vicinity;
and most importantly …
- How do they get back to their various destinations.
All these can be answered easily by navigating through the Google Map app. I like to explore new places around the city now that i know it is almost impossible for me to get lost as long as i have my phone charged and with an active Internet connection.
Before signing off…
One feature i need to mention on here is the location sharing function, you need to check it out if you haven’t. As a family we share our location with each other to help put our mind at ease, it is a function that can be turned off if you need your privacy and turn on whenever you are ready to let your location be known to the people you have authorized. It is an amazing Safety feature as it also gives vital information about the current status of your mobile phone (example Battery level).
