Hello everyone… I am Vijai Herath from Sri Lanka.
I joined Local Guide community since 2016, and now i’m at level 7 ,as a Local guide I’ve liked each and every steps I climbed has its own significance and goal to carry on this journy.I loved to Traveling ,photography and mainly do social works and Google map is a great platform to me help thousands of people around the world, I’m so happy with being a Local guide.
It has always been my passion to travel around the world and see it my own eyes.even though i have been some countries with my family,but i had always dream about travelling my own.Finally i got a chance last year which means in 2018,it was to Europe.and my sister also joined with me.Anyhow it was different form every other tour i had been so far,Because every other trip we had guide tio show us the country,But it wasn’t a worry for me since I’m a Local guide at Google,through out my trip Google map helped me with finding places of where i want to go,and the Google translator with the language barriers.Google maps were really helpful for me and after I also shared photos,write information,adding missing plases,restaurent ,coffee shops etc, It’s gives me the oppotiunity to share my experince and recommendions to so many other people around the world.basically i love to contribute to Google maps and being a part of Local guide connect group to make the world so simple for every one,because what we all share, we all learn.
I am fascinated by every new place I visit,As a Local guide i like to add every single place wheter its new place country,city,restaurant ,temples in maps,and also answering questions adding accessibility with places making maps correct and adding amezing photos in maps.What i love most about Google maps for me it has been to the tool that has broken all my barriers to travel.I wish to continue my journey with Google map as a Local guide and i have always proud too much in this.
