Well, lets face it. Its fake. Accept it google people. the google local guides special edition socks is a fake. It is cheating. It is fake.

Every reply a moderator give is again beating around the bush. No confirmed answer. The links they provide are either broke or do not exists at all.

It is Fake

Your moderators will reply to this and say that they are sorry. Then they will as for the details. We dig out the details from the mails and then send them. Then after months of chasing one Moderator will appear and will be sorry and want the same details again and then the same thing will repeat.

After a few months another moderator will appear and will be sorry and the have gone through the case etc and that they will get back to me shortly via email. Its been another 5 months and there is no mail whatsoever from google.

So Guys coming here for the socks and perks? Stop sweating it out. You are not going to get it.

I have been waiting for mine for more than a year and a half.

And please keep reading the comments below. The story I have mentioned above will be repeated or this will not be displayed at all.

Hello @WorshipHimX are you travelling and posting all these nice pics and things all for a pair of socks??? Dont worry it may come Some of us didn’t expect it and we got it anyway. Got mine some monthis ago. Please calm down. There is dignity in selfless service :+1:t4:

For a pair of socks? Not at all.

Whats ridiculous is that ‘Google’ doesn’t keep up to their word.

Had It been for that pair of sock then I would’ve quit updating stuff on Maps long ago.

Its just that I see so many mails here about that pair of sock that I wanted to tell people not to expect anything and at the same time a message to all the moderators here that they are not doing a good job and keeping up to their promise of getting back to all those people out there. Now that is bad on the part of google.

Its almost a year and a half since I received that first mail from google.

So I know there is no socks coming my way and to all of them out there not to have hopes.
