Google Local Guides Program: What Does it Mean to Me?

Local reviews of restaurants/establishments are very important nowadays since almost everyone has access to the internet thru their smartphones. If something sucks, you don’t have to suffer or have a bad experience or waste money on something that’s not worth it. So here are 3 things why local guide reviews are important:

  • It’s an accessible and free way to help out tourists/foreigners - I’ve personally used Local Guide ratings from Google when I visit new places here in the Philippines. It’s convenient and you can gauge if something’s worth trying or not. Sometimes, if a friend recommends something, you’ll look up its reviews and if it’s a bit off, you’ll still try it out for yourself.

  • It’s easy to create reviews, and it’s sort of your own blog post.

  • Everyone can do it - Since not all of us have the same opinions, everyone can freely review a business. Also, it’s an important platform for feedback so that the businesses are aware of their shortcomings and what their areas of opportunities are.
