Google Local Guides has worked miracles in my life. I have not been able to see the bright side of things in a long time. Then one day I recieved an email from Google that I was a record breaking beginner. Then they invited me to level up and apply for the connect live 2020 event. I leveled up and put my application together. I have never been so thrilled.

But due to circumstances out of my control I was unable to submit my application in time. :sleepy: :broken_heart: :sleepy: :broken_heart: :sleepy:

I feel so helpless.

I guess next year I will have another opportunity.

I want to thank Google for the local guides program and I can’t express how great of an impact you’ve made in my life. I feel like you saved me from certain demise. And for that, I am eternally grateful for you. :purple_heart: :purple_heart: :purple_heart: :purple_heart: :purple_heart:

Hi @schiblinx I noticed this seems to be your first post, so I’m guessing you’ve not filled out an application yet. I’ve got some sad news in that applications closed several days ago and that you needed to fill out a form at https://maps.google.com/localguides/event/connectlive

Hopefully this doesn’t make you too sad. In the mean time, enjoy Connect and our community and perhaps we’ll see an on time application next year. Watch out for the announcement of Connect 2021.

I know well that it can be overwhelming when you’re starting off @schiblinx but hang in there, it quickly gets easier and more familiar.

Thank you. Yeah I’m ready to bring my skills and know how up to par. This community really seems to care that their peers succeed. I’m not used to that and I am enjoying it.
