So I’ve posted this on the regular Google help to(seems there’s many posts like it all ignored) but my entire account is like shadow banned. Some reviews go through. Some it SAYS it does, but if you try to check from a different device or look at views it says zero views and or doesn’t show up. Then many of my stuff gets flagged for spam when it is not. If there is issue with my honest review for consumer awareness I’d appreciate Google telling me the issue so I can promptly fix it to promptly get my consumer advice posted.
Hi @Space_Dandy
Welcome on Connect.
Your profile is set to restricted. If you want help to spot what could be the cause, you need to change your privacy setting as explained here temporarily. It can also be done from a Desktop computer. Goto Your contributions, then Profile settings, then toggle Restricted profile.
Cheers
Morten
Hi @Space_Dandy its not shadow censorship at all, its perfectly open. Maps tells you which content is not visible to people and there are a lot of reasons it can happen.
Visit https://support.google.com/local-guides/answer/2519605?hl=en and follow the tips there they will help you to get published.

Thanks for unrestricting your profile. Next time, kindly respond and remember to tag me.
I can confirm from your public profile that you have added 153 reviews and only 58 of them are public. This is a high and unusual percentage.
Google has automatic filters that hide your reviews so only you can see them. This can happen when some of your reviews violate the review guidelines.
Read about typical review guideline violations here. And please see my latest post called 4 Tips on writing better reviews.
If you are on a Desktop use this link to Count your hidden contributions. From a mobile device use this link.
If you want to identify which of your reviews are hidden check this post.
If you want the business owners to react constructively to your negative reviews, it might be worth also including info on what they are doing good and how they can improve.
Please use the form called Account Investigation for contributions not visible on Google Maps if you believe that some of your contributions have been wrongfully unpublished. Keep in mind, it takes several weeks for the check to be done, and you will not be notified about the result, so I suggest you check the status of your reviews once a week or so.
Best of luck
Morten
Yes Mortan helped alot with his article. And I have been reviewing the standards and I haven’t violeted any. Some things copy pasted but that does not make a review invalid lol.
I think google is over critically cencorising people. or is rather. There should be a big pop up when you post a review if they aren’t gonna take it clearly highlighting their issues, offering appeal, and chance to correct so it can be posted. I tried editing reviews to make them SUPER proper and it didn’t post them. Seems whats shadow banned is banned forever. More then half my voice unheard. Wonder how many people got screwed or suffered because google refused to post them.
@MortenCopenhagen Thank you friend. This way VERY helpful.
At least I can now see what is being shadow banned. I voiced my concerns to this below to other responder. I think this is gravely irresponsible on googles part and can lead to all sorts of damage/ emotional/ financial/ etc. People really on reviews to know whats what. I shudder to think the wasted years of my life and trauma and turmoil trying places that just had their reviews that would have warned me buried =O Truly shocking and appalling. I deleted a bunch of ones that were less professional(still valid) and put in a review request. Will post back here with what that yields. Ty again.
Don’t take it personally. You are dealing with an automated filter.
And keep in mind that the filter looks at more than the individual reviews. Your contribution history and much more, so often you will not be able to find the reason for moderation inside the review. It could be something else that triggers the filter and limits your ability to make contributions.
All the best
Morten
Hey everyone responding, google is NOT telling me, they are NOT giving me notice, chance to fix, why it was censored, NOTHING.
I have tried reaching out every avenue I can. No one will fix my account. I’m 100% sure all my reviews are legal. WE HAVE A LEGAL RIGHT TO REVIEWS.
I have made a new post asking for googles legal contact info. I am serving them a lawsuit as allowing robots to sensor peoples reviews without telling them, violates not only our constitution but the The Consumer Review Fairness Act (CRFA) and in their practice in doing this has caused me a incalculable amount of time enery pain suffering and money and MUST pay for their crimes.
Personal or not, what they’re doing in doing this is against the law. I’m trying to get the contact info so I can serve this legal paperwork and file a suit against them. @MortenCopenhagen @PaulPavlinovich
Here you go @Space_Dandy https://support.google.com/faqs/answer/6151275?hl=en this is the details for serving Google.

Absolutly revolting leftist practice of overmoderation for pleasantness.
Consider you are visiting a realtor agency with your family.. eventually tha agency by many signs appears owned and operated by Yakuza. You are humiliated, your money are stolen in multi thousand$ amount, the lawyer says that you can start a trial, but it will cost you another $100K..
You have no way to get your money back.
The last thing you can do - make a report at Google maps for other people to avoid this place.
Your family members technically have legal right to write and support the report as individual victims and witnesses.
But no - the store owning criminal gang just sends a complaint that they don’t like the report.. and it disappears.
Google may even help them on its own automatically shadowbanning unpleasant reviews.
That is how Goolge helps ORGANIZED CRIME!
