Hi @JoeNL : I’ll tag some specialists over here who posted many times about this issue. I’ll tag @Mortencopenhagen, @Janvanhaver and @Annaelisa @Ermest. But before they can help, make sure your maps profile is public, so that they can possibly see what’s going on. It sometimes a matter of the pictures you post with your reviews, sometimes it’s about the words you used, … Ai filters possibly are activated and after they think you violated the rules too many, you see this result. I don’t say that you violated the rules, but possibly something triggered the ai-filters. Now you must find out what triggered it and try to solve this issue.

Update1: I checked one of your reviews: Delphi Leiden or something like that. I saw a typo in your review: “in mij ogen” instead of “in mijn ogen”, but I think this wouldn’t be an issue. I can’t see if this review has a picture in it, but this one is public and visible to me. So, I suppose the reviews are currently hidden (the ones that seem to be blocked) and you can possibly edit them. But I hope Morten, Jan or Ermes can give you more tips.

Update2: I also checked your review of “Keukenhof” and again you made the same typo:

“Voor mij gevoel overrated.(…)” instead of “Voor mijn gevoel overrated. (…)” Again, I think this isn’t causing issues, but I personally would correct this. And as @@ @DeniGu @Annaelisa mentioned in one of her reactions: I as a possible visitor of this place don’t learn a lot from your review. If I have nothing to say about a place, I wouldn’t review. I only write a review if I think I can give some interesting info or trigger others to visit a place.

@JoeNL to see how many of your reviews or media are public, create a permalink to your own profile and paste it into an anonymous browser session without logging into Google. @MortenCopenhagen did publish some more detailed instructions for that, but I don’t have a link handy.

You did post 68 reviews, thereof only 64 are public. Compare the numbers in the screenshot on the left without being logged into your own profile, to those, you see after clicking your profile (here it doesn’t matter if logged in or not, as long as your profile is public).

Displaying both sessions - logged in and not logged in - side by side, you can find out which reviews are hidden by scrolling down both simultaneously.

@KattyGeltmeyer and @JoeNL reg. “… I saw a typo in your review: …”:
Actually I did have such a case very recently. After I saw, one of my reviews was hidden, I opened just for further examination. At that point, I noticed the browser did mark a typo. So I only changed this single word and the review was accepted immediately. I briefly discussed it it with @MortenCopenhagen , who first thought Google Maps does not perform any spell checking. However, the rules mention “gibberish” as not allowed. So a wrongly spelled word, might be considered “gibberish” …?

@JoeNL @WilfriedB: JoeNl for sure can check this, but in this case, it was not gibberish language: he wrote something like “me eyes” instead of “my eyes”. It’s for sure possible that Maps stumbles on it and hides the review for that, but I can’t say this for sure. I just wanted to help Joe for finding this typo.

Do you have any experience on how to have google unblock you from not posting more reviews?

Many thanks!

Hi @JoeNL ,

You can request to have your Local Guides account reviewed via the official Local Guides Appeal form. Please describe your issue in detail in the respective field and allow some time for the responsible team to respond to you privately.

Learn more about how appeals work in this Help Center article.

Please note that I will change the topic of your post to How-tos as that’s the best place to ask questions about Maps and Local Guides on Connect. I will also mark my comment as the solution to make it more visible and help others who might be experiencing the same as you know what to do. Thank you.
