I don’t know how many times I have ticked off a number of locations as “haven’t been there”, but they continually pop up in my contributions list. How can this be fixed?

Thanks for bringing this issue up. I want a bit more information from you to know what exactly is happening and to troubleshoot the issue.
Can you please provide us what kind of device this is? Including the operating system and the version. Please also let us know what version of Google Maps you are using. I also suggest you ensure you have the latest version of Google Maps installed on your device.

Hi Shirley. Strange that right after posting this note it seems that the issue has gone away after several weeks!!! Who doesn’t run the latest version of software these days, its the only way to find out what the problems are.
UPDATE: Oh no it hasn’t gone away, it must have been wishful thinking.Same repeat prompts again.
I only run latest Android versions and it shows up on my Windows browser too.

This is constantly happening to me, there are about a dozen places where I was at one place that shares parking with many other places and maps keeps asking me about the other places. I’ve clicked the “I haven’t been here” option a half dozen times for each one but they come back sometimes within minutes.
This is very annoying and is making think I should drop out of helping with reviews and questions completely.
