I’m posting this on behalf of Bryn, who is on vacay this week. Bryn is based in NYC with me, but many of you may know her from her days in our Austin office.
Bryn will be hosting the meet-up at the Lyndon B Johnson National Historical Park on Friday, August 26. I’m starting this thread so those who are attending (and received a confirmation email) can connect with one another in advance of the meet-up.

Excited to attend. Is there an agenda? Is anyone else attending from near Houston? If so, I’m interested in carpooling.
Looking forward to this! For anyone bringing something for the potluck, what do y’all plan on bringing?
I’m fairly far away, so I don’t plan on bringing anything. I don’t have a fridge or hot box in my car. That said, I could bring something that doesn’t need refrigeration or heating. Or, I could possibly pic something up locally if anyone would care to make a recommendation.

Hello what is the exact address for the visistor center where we need to meet? I am new to TX and need to use GPS to get there. Thanks!
Hi @EnidJ , the address is linked within the email — simply click the “map” link after the park name.
We don’t share location or time information on this thread (same goes for all other Google-hosted meet-ups) because we share that information only with attendees who received a confirmation email (due to space constraints). If you still have trouble, feel free to respond to the email you received.

According to this link - http://goo.gl/P0jI7k LBJ’s favorite drink was Fresca so I can bring some to share with everyone. I’ll have an ice chest to keep them cold.
I am not exactly sure what to bring but will probably be picking up something from the store so it’s fresh. Some sort of finger foods platter seem to make sense but if there is a list of items we ought to signup to bring please let me know…

I drove in from Shreveport Louisiana this morning. Picked up bakery cookies for the potluck.

Hi everyone!
Excited to see those of you joining this afternoon. To clarify, please meet me at 3 pm at the main Visitors’ Center, which is located in Stonewall, TX (where Google Maps directs you for “LBJ National Park and Historic Site”. There are two Visitors Centers, so please do NOT meet at the location in Johnson City. Upon entering the park, you will receive a free parking permit. Entry to the park should be free!
Open to seeing what the group would like to do most, but I figured we could walk/drive the LBJ ranch, then do a ranger-led tour of the Texas White House (see LBJ’s ranch home, plane hangar, etc.

Oh wow! I’ve got plenty of Texas barbecue for you to try! Make sure to head to the Visitors Center location in Stonewall, TX btw. Let me know if you hit any trouble!
