Guide points lost, badge also and level reduced. This happened earlier this year. Help please ?

Could you please add more details to your query? How many points you noticed were reduced? Which badge changed?

Hello @ElkHunter

I suggest you check the setting of the Maps History and select " Auto delete off".

Else you will continue losing points periodically.

You will find this setting by clicking the profile icon on the Android app.

Additionally, I find a huge number of reviews are now private. Unless you take some action to remove the objectionable content in those, the automation may purge that after some time causing loss of points.

Auto delete is off and always has been. I do not have screen shots but have lost apps 20,000 points, been reduced from level 9 to 8 and lost my master reviewer badge. As I said earlier, this happened to me and other in early March 2020 and Google resolved it.

Hello @MashaPS , I experienced this issue back in March and it was resolved however I have a similar issue again. I cannot identify which of my reviews or pics have been affected but I’ve lost apps 20,000 points, downgraded from level 9 to 8 and have lost my Master Reviewer badge due to this mysterious issue. I’ve double Che ked my settings that auto delete is off, always has been. Looking forward to a huge July as my country in reopened and would like my stats to reflect my contribution. Thank you

Thanks for clarifying that My activity settings are managed to not delete your data.

Please note that points may also decrease when contributions violating our polices are marked as private. More about this you may find here.

Hello @MashaPS , I’m sorry to be a bother, but I cannot find anything in my profile or posts that account for the 20,000 point reduction of my guide status. Could you give a specific reason why I have been reduced to such an extent having read terms and policies and am not in violation of anything I can find.
