"Google Couldn't verify your edit" issue

Assalamu Alaikum,
I am a Bangladeshi local guide. I live outside the city, in a rural area. I try to contribute more as a Google Local Guide within my village, upazila and district town. I also sometimes contribute outside my district and outside the country, when I travel. As a Bangladeshi guide, I often write reviews in my own language, Bengali. For several days now, I have not been able to add or edit any new places.

Attempting to edit shows an error like “Google Couldn’t verify your edit” like the screenshot above.

In this situation, I am seeking the help of experienced guides including my Countries local guide.

Hi @MohammadMasum

I noticed you attempted to add the same website twice on the same day. This can trigger the spam filter and block you from getting edits approved.

Please read Why is my edit status “Pending” or “Not Applied”? if you haven’t already done so.

In the desktop version you Google is now providing some more indirect details about why an edit cannot be verified.

Just for you to understand why Google couldn’t verify your edit, I will show you what you can find on desktop in the business listing, in the bottom of the page (in the “Web results” section):

The web is confirming that the actual name of the place is the right one. For more details you can click on the “about this data” link, available also in the App.

Regarding the several attempt to add and modify Manobik Hospital & Diagnostic Center, please be aware that a Facebook page should not be used as a website for the business. The same Facebook page from where you was getting “inspire” in your review. A review, according to the rules, should reflect your personal experience about a place, not just declaring the obvious.

Please note that the actual name is for the hospital is “Al-Ihsan General Hospital” and I know this hospital well. It is located 100 yards away from my office and I walk in front of it 4 times a day. Thanks for your advice. I tried adding the website twice on the same day, it was my mistake. But I am facing the same problem even though I try to do a lot with a gap of one month !

আপনার লেখাটি পড়লাম এবং আমি আপনার উল্লেখকৃত বিষয়গুলো আগে থেকে মেনে চলার চেষ্টা করি বা চলি। যেমন

১। স্থানটি আগে থেকেই আছে কিনা সার্চ করে নেই এবং সঠিক তথ্যসহ সঠিক স্থানেই দাড়িয়ে পিন করি।

২। কমপক্ষে একটি ছবি সংযুক্ত করি (বেশিরভাগ সময় ২ থেকে ৩ টি ছবি দিয়ে থাকি)

উল্লেখ এই যে, আমার সমস্যাটি গত ৫/৬ মাস যাবত হচ্ছে। আগে কখনো এমন হতো না।

As you asked why your edit was not applied (because “Google couldn’t verify your edit”) a wanted to show you how Google is sourcing the data.

As you know the hospital, what I can suggest is to invite them to “claim the business” in Google my Business.

In this way they will be able to fix the issue, and to better manage the information in the listing
