As Google Local Guide, I seek to maximise the use of Google’s array of apps.
Among Google Apps, I use most is Google Keep, an electronic journal accessible across devices through a web browser.
I wrote this article on my desktop computer, accessing Google Keep on my machine’s Chrome browser.
Google Keep is very simple to use. You install the app or access it and start taking notes. The app auto-saves and retains content without the need for you to save any of it.
You can share the note in your account with others using the collaborate feature. The app has features to get a reminder and to add colours and pictures. Labels to notes help you catalogue and find them easily. Notes on Keep are amenable to copy to Google Docs.
As a Google Local Guide, I compose all my reviews for Google Maps first on Google Keep. I then copy the content onto Google Maps review section. I edit Google Keep content using Grammarly (this is NOT a Google app) having integration to my Google Chrome browser.
Google Keep also allows making lists like those used for shopping. It also allows a search feature by which you can easily find content with a word or labels (assigned by you when you make a note).
In a world of complicated software and apps, Google Keep is a shining example of a very user-friendly app that is easy to use and master. Being accessible across devices on a single Google Account, it is convenient too.
