Local Guides may not earn money for reviews or pictures, but are they allowed to place Google Ads for promoting the service? As I am also a Google Trusted Photographer would I be able to have the “trusted banner” in the Ad as well ?
Ad text could be " Google Local Guide - Free Reviews | Photography for your Business by Local Guide"
Thanks, my mistake I forgot that “mixing” services is not allowed.
The program rules are saying "
I may not use the Logo without written permission - where would I get a written Permision form ? Who can help me with this in Germany ?
Also - as I understand - Promoting your “neutral” and “free” services should not be a problem.
Hi @LocalDusseldorf if you want you are free to promote your professional activity using Google Adwords (I did it in the past), but the message you are trying to use is not allowed, because “reviews” is part of the Local Guides program, and you we are not allowed to offer this kind of service (free or paid) to customers.
You can offer support for managing reviews, photos and Google MyBusiness entry, but you cannot offer “free reviews”.
Based on my analytical research, business owners aren’t searching for the key phrases “Trusted photographers” so you’ll need to do some keyword research with someone familiar with SEO
The best way is to pick-up the phone and educate owners on the benefits of having up-to-date information in the Maps ecosystem.
Hi @StefanRazella - Yes no one is searching for “trusted photographers” the small business owner just don´t know what it is about… “Cold” Calls and talk -throughs are just a very long way to get the business rolling. But they are educated by knowing an other phrase, which is quite popular - > Influencer / corporate Influencer easier for them to understand.
