Hi,

Just want to reopen the ‘Google account is missing a name’ problem. Many have found the solution in syncing their People details toggle. However I am getting another error which says that Sync is currently experiencing problems. I have seen a comment from one more user with the same issue. Anyone have a solution for this?

Can you please confirm form which device you’re going to access your account and then you’ll get this kind of error?

E.g, like Mobile Phone or Desktop ?

If i try to rate a POI, i get the message i have to add my nae to my account. There is my name an nickname. i already send a feedback some month ago. No Answer. I resend about 3 or 4 times. No answer, no fixes. Looks like google does not care about gmaps anymore.

Is Google Maps no longer being developed?

Could you please try following these steps:

  • Go to your Android Settings
  • Choose Cloud and Accounts → Accounts → Google → [affected_account] and turned on “Sync People Details”
