The best place is Kyiv for good coffee is called Good Stay cafe. It is located in the Obolon district, and was founded by a guy passionate about making coffee right. I spent a summer studying to be a barista and I learned a lot from him. I have always been into coffee, I have read books about it and I even have coffee vacuum drip siphon in my house, yet I still had a lot to learn.
Now I am spoiled.
Recently I moved to Bay Area and am looking to find some places as good as this one. Interestingly, while tech scene and startup people run on coffee, there is not many interesting places around. In SF I have found Blue Bottle be pretty good, and also I liked Socola Chocolatier place.
I am going to explore Bay Area more and share my findings!
