Good photos, true reviews.

What I like to do as a Local Guide is to add good photos and make real reviews anywhere I go.

When it comes to this topic, it’s always good to know what’s really in the audience’s interest before you post, that is, to ask the question if what you’re adding will really help someone find what they’re looking for. So, taking photos that help in the actual location of a place is one of the most important things when you add a photo of Google maps.

Do not post selfies, this does not help.

Regarding the reviews, be honest and impersonal, only evaluate your experience, avoiding to generalize opinion about a particular place, because not always what is bad for you, is bad for another, everything depends on the circumstances.

Hello @FranzTakatsch ,

Thank you very much for sharing your experience and tips! Since this is your first post here, you might want to share a bit more about yourself and get to know others in our monthly Introduce Yourself - October 2019. You can also take a look at these articles: 14 helpful tips for using Connect, and What are Connect topics?, where you will find some great tips on getting started on Connect.

I’m going to move your post to the Local Stories section on Connect where the Local Guides from all around the world share their local stories and inspiration why they like to be Local Guides and how they contribute to Google Maps. The How-tos section is a board where we discuss questions and issues related to the Local Guides program.
