I could not resist sharing my joy with you:
Out of 20 photos I posted yesterday 10 pics are now visible on the places’ pages.
This is after a dry spell of about one month with no new pictures showing up on places’ pages.
10 are still missing, and it seems to be random which of the 20 photos got picked. So we definitely see signs that things are beginning to get back to normal.

Update as of April 27:
I don’t see signs that old standard edits are getting approved.
Still, only a small fraction of newly uploaded pics show up on places’ pages.
But today I noticed that the staff approving duplicate-edits are back in business. Old merges from august 2019 finally got approved. That is a very long wait!
