I have been golfing most of my adult life. It was truly love at first swing with this sport. As an avid golfer for over 15 years, I enjoy looking for new places to golf with my friends. As recommended by Google reviews, we wanted to look for a new golf club outside Bangalore. I took up the responsibility of arranging a place and came across Mercara downs in Madikeri.
Madikeri, capital of Kodagu(Coorg), is a popular destination for its hill-station weather and very close proximity to the western ghats. After making sure the logistics were in order, my golfing buddies and I reached Mercara downs on a friday night and stayed there throughout the weekend. The stay was well-arranged and the staff was super friendly throughout our stay.
As exhibited by the advertisements, all of us were set for an early morning tee off for a 18 hole game. The gold course was well-maintained. The weather was just perfect with around 21 degree celsius. As the sun began to hover above us,the temperature soared to a warm 28 degrees. We took a break for some delicious pork and some cold beer. The best part of our stay was the view throughout the game. We loved being away from the hustle and bustle of the city, having a good time with friends amidst the greens.
We returned that Sunday night, and thanked the staff for their hospitality . It was truly a great experience. I would highly recommend going down to Mercara downs for a tee-off and some pork. Until next time, Madikeri!
