Going pro

Fellow mappers, I’m closing in on the next level with over 11,000 points. I am an attorney/author who has a contract that takes me all over the state of New Mexico, sometimes as much as 6,000 miles a month. I started taking photos as a way of stretching my legs, and like many of you I soon became obsessed with contributing to google maps. How many of you count the number of hits you get of a photo?

I am writing this from a hotel in Las Cruces, New Mexico and I noticed that they have photographs of local landmarks. I was not impressed.

Recently, a fellow attorney told me that he would like to purchase some of my photos, frame them and hang them in his office. I am intrigued. Do any of you have general advice and caveats about turning this obsession into a profession?
