So, everyone who knows me, know that I don’t joke with my food. Lol…
I get easily bored with just trying one restaurant so I love to explore restaurants a lot. Well, my current job also allows me to order free lunch so it’s a big plus.
I will give you my top recommendations below with my reasons. I’m still exploring but for now, find my go to restaurants for Lunch.
- Bay and Ruts: This is now my go to place. I Love
this place. I keep saying not everyone needs to start a food business just because food is a good business. I recently started ordering from here (delivery is free to my office and quite fast if the delivery man is around) and the taste of the food across board is so worth the amount. I started ordering Sharwarma which is amazing and then decided to try their rice and peppered chicken with plantain (N1,700) and it tastes good, it’s very filling and the quantity is good. That peppered chicken is big. I then tried their plaintain porridge with vegetable and it tasted so good and yum. Now I can confidently order for anything and not be disappointed. I was selective at first because most restaurants in Lagos have their area of strength in terms of food e.g. Some can make really good Jollof rice but their fried rice will be wack, not Bay and Ruts. - Nellies: My go to place for healthy meals. I love their spicy chicken salad. It costs N2000 but it’s worth every penny. The quantity of chicken in the salad is really something considering that restaurants like to save their chicken. I recommend Nellies for healthy meals. Delivery is not free or fast.
- Black Bell: I go to Black Bell when I want to have Lunch outside of the office. The ambience is good and the price of food is affordable. I love the fact that they grill their fish and turkey. Delivery is not free or fast. The environment here is relaxing too so I recommend.
- The Place: I love The Place cuz it’s a fast food restaurant with a lot of continental options for food. So if I’m looking for variety and want to make up my mind fast, I come here. Their delivery method is quite slow so I prefer to walk in than place an order. Delivery is not free.
- Chop now now: They brought their flier to my office and I decided to give them a try. I like their African dishes like Amala and pando. I love their ponmo too. They deliver for free within VI.
- TFC - Tasty Fried Chicken: I love to order for moin moin and fish and their chicken topaz salad. Delivery time is ok and I also like their ajoke rice.
- Kilimanjaro: This is on my list just because it’s very close to my office and delivery is free and very fast. It has saved me in situations where I was so hungry and had been in meetings all day. The food is ok but not amazing.
