Global Village - Multicultural Park in Dubai, UAE

Sawubona Local Guides,

Global Village is one place in Dubai that has the lowest entrance fees for adults which are AED 15 and persons above 65 years of age go free. The place is full of different colors and attracts you a lot with its ever-changing lights.

When we were returning from Dubai Safari we saw extremely great fireworks from far away on the road coming out from Global Village that happens only every Thursday and Friday.

The place opens in the evening at 5 pm and is open till 11-12 am in the night. A lot of performances keep on happening in different parts of the village. It’s called Global Village because they cover so many different cultures and countries with each having their unique area and shops.

Iran has this unique stand with big size Persian soldiers, kings and queens. One of the most lovely stands for sure it is but keep your judgments far from your minds as you will see a lot of different other countries with amazing stands.

There is a lot to do and I will say that you won’t be able to cover the spot in a single day that’s why Global Village has kept the entrance fees so less. They want you to come again and again during your stay in Dubai. Also with every ticket, you get entry into some kind of lucky draw or raffle to win big prizes like apartments or cash.

The irony was India, in general, is so full of color with rich cultural heritage but the Global Village thought to put it in white color may be to showcase the number of forts or maybe taking inspiration from the Taj Mahal and keeping it white.

The Global Village is an experience you will always remember and won’t forget. Just eat the food along the way as the same food trucks are all around the park. It will be great if you start your food journey from the first country stall you visit.

It was too tiring to walk all around the village to see everything my eyes could but definitely a lot is pending as many countries stalls I could not even enter their establishments and enjoy their rich food culture.
Cheers!!!

I didn’t know about this Global Village @TheLifesWay but it’s going on my list of things to see for sure! Thanks for sharing.

For a minute I thought you were showing photos from Las Vegas but I guess the share some of the same features.

Do you know how many countries were represented there?

@MortenSI Yeah its kind of Las Vegas as Dubai also has desert on one side. For countries count, I will definitely get back to you as I need to make a list and count. Also the whole setup changes every season. new season 25 will open soon after this lockdown and it will be great to see which all countries are represented again. thanks again for commenting and liking. there are other posts from the same venue. do check them out too. That sounds great @TheLifesWay , I was curious to know if any of the Scandinavian countries were represented and how they looked.

Hi @MortenSI Unfortunately, there was no representation from Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway other than the tourists from those countries in Dubai.

Maybe there will be in the future @TheLifesWay . It would be interesting to see how they display a country of the north.
