A rainbow of colours greets the visitors at Jilani Park (Race Course Park). The annual chrysanthemum show is held December every year by PHA (Parks and Horticulture Authority) Lahore. There were hundreds of flower pots of Gul-e-Daudi (Chrysanthemums) with over Hundred varieties, awarded prizes in different categories - a treat to one’s eyes indeed.
It is also called “Festival of Colors and Fragrabces”. Flowers of various colours blossom during this cold season of Winter. Families from all walks of life visit the park and enjoy the sight of beautiful flora at the exhibition. Visitors are interested in learning about how to care for and grow Chrysanthemum flowers. It is a ‘special gift’ of the season for the people of the Historical City of Lahore, heart of Punjab. More than 100 varieties of the Chrysanthemum flower were part of the event.
