Just as there are 12 months in the English calendar, similarly in the Hindu Panchang Hindu calendar. There are 12 months. But Hindu panchang hindu calendar names are different from the English calendar. Chaitra is the first month of the Hindu calendar.
According to the Hindu calendar, the Shravan month is one of the holiest months compared to all months. This is the fifth month of the Hindu calendar. localy called lord shiva’s month,this is holly month of all Hindu people.
In this month, every Monday is celebrated as Shravan somvar across all the temples, over the Shivling, bathing it with holy water and milk throughout the day and night, and lot’s of people doing fast( upwas/ vrat)., in this month many many people going through walking to lord shiva’s temple’s and take the holy river ganga’s water then after over the Shivling batting the holy water Ganga jal, localy called jalabhishek. basically this people called kawariya. and one more thing in this holy month hindu people avoid non vegetarian food & alcohol. overall I’m contribute this kawar yatra pic because i Hope youcan also share your local area kawar yatra.
