“Local Guides is a global community of explorers who write reviews, share photos, answer questions, add or edit places, and check facts on Google Maps. Millions of people rely on contributions from Local Guides to decide where to go, what to do, and how to get there” is clearly stated at About Local Guides Page.Participation in the program is voluntary. While occasional perks might be offered, the primary motivation for contributing is not to receive rewards.
Since January 2025, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Local Guides Program and the 20th anniversary of Google Maps. You have joined Connect at a significant milestone!
