Caption Siddhachal Caves and Rock cut Jain images Gwalior Fort.
As I have noticed that mostly tourists ignored or missed these important protected monuments mean Siddhachal Jain Caves. That is why I stopped my car near the caves where there was parking. And kept staring at these artifacts in many small caves and on rocks. On proceeding, the giant was surprised to see the statue of naked Adinath ji about 58 feet high in standing posture known as Kayotsarga posture i.e. renunciation of pleasures and worldly Comforts and Tirthankar can be recognised by his icon that is Bull. Like Neminath with Shell icon on his foot pedstle, Serpaint covered Parshvanath, Mahavira with Lion emblem are the best Rock cut images on the Siddhachal cliffs and under the caves.
From the seventh century to the fifteenth century, the introduction of the amazing Sculpture art is worth seeing the engraved statues of twenty four Jain Tirthankar in Padmasana and standing Kayotsarga postures on the rocks of below northwest wall of the fortification Siddhachal. All these images are recognised by their Icons and these are colessus and surprisingly magnificent Digambar Jain images. Mostly were engraved during the reign of Mansima means Raja Mansingh Tomar who was a patron of art and architecture in the Urvahi valley.
