It was my first time coming to visit this iconic place, to discover the underlying principles in making this Chocolate brand so legendary and thriving after 165 years from the first time they opened their doors for business. They were literally lines and lines of people from all walks of life and countries, just standing and waiting anxiously for a chance to order a treat from their original menu. For me it was simple to order , as I’m always interested in the simple things in life and so I’ve ordered a cup of Joe and and original Ice Cream Cone with two scoops of Vanilla and Chocolate flavor. Much to my delight, it was so delicious and rich in flavor that I just couldn’t savor and finish the whole thing all by myself, that I’had offered to share with my teenage nephew who gleefully accepted my invitation and ensued in finishing the cone within a few minutes. The vibe was trendy and upbeat and with some glorious glamour especially when watching the old factory still humming inside with loads chocolate- demonstrating to the Ghiradelli Chocolate Pilgrims inside how it all started.
