I am a new member here, however, I participating in Google Maps (and other platforms) crowdsourcing since “I do not know when”.
I did my first “edit” when some years ago I was going around the city searching for a place, only to realize
that “google” was giving me wrong information and I just lost half an hour doing circles. I immediately fixed the wrong information so that no other had to go through the same “ordeal”. From that time on I became a more active editor/reviewer, only to realize a couple of weeks later that this is something I enjoy to do and that its a part of my character.
I was very happy to learn that there is a community for us and a place with limitless content about every city.
While I am not a very active writer in Local Guides, I am a regular reader. The content here helped me to organize a lot of my trip and visit the best places in a town. Besides, in a quarantine time like this, the Local Guides stories it is one of the things that helps me mentally travel around the world an learn about new places.
