Hi @City-couple1

First of all, this is your first LG Connect post, so welcome.

Sadly when it comes to the Google Maps backend, nearly everything is controlled by algorithms and it’s improbable that a Google employee is taking the badge away from your profile. I can’t see your Google Maps profile as it’s not linked on your LG account - but you have a lot of contributions. It is possible that if you post too much, too quickly, the system may potentially think you’re submitting invalid information. This may be what is causing your badge to be hidden as I believe suspect profiles go manual verification by a human. I must also stress that this is my PERSONAL understanding of how the system works as I don’t work for Google (as much as I wish I did  )!

Hi @City-couple1

Just from your screenshots I see some serious guideline violations:

You have been uploading photos to a country (United Kingdom). We are only allowed to upload photos to places of interest and not to roads, cities, and countries. Also, your fireworks photos does not exactly show the place clearly.

Secondly it could look like you have more than one Local Guides Account. If that is correct you have violated another guideline: We can only have one account signed up for the Local Guides Program.

Such violations can explain what your described.

If you care to get more feedback, kindly share the link to your Maps profile.

Cheers

For start page on is my wife’s. And if can’t post about United Kingdom that’s definitely disgraceful. And fireworks is display in there field in celebration to me it seam ur just picking what ever you want

@MortenCopenhagen I’ve often been curious - how do photos end up on a country or city listing? Aside from those that improperly post them directly, obviously.

Great question, @Mikeinthefalls

There is a dedicated AI selecting the “best” photos from pins inside the city, city district, or country. It’s preferences are different from the AI selecting photos to be featured under normal pins.

It really likes bright and saturated colors. Especially deep blue skys seems popular.

You can study the photos selected to represent a city to learn more about it’s preferences. Also, look for the By you tab.

Cheers
