Getting Lost at Home

I move often, one thing I like to do when I first move to a new city is to get lost, and then find my way home again. I want to know the interweaving of my new home, community, and city. When I lose myself in a city, I find stores I want to check out, food I need to try, and parks, hikes, and attractions that look so inviting. Every city offers it’s hidden gems, the information only locals know about. I want to fall into that local role as soon as I can and immerse myself in the city’s character. As a local guide, I want to help you get “lost” into a city and “find” yourself in the city’s character and what makes that city unique.

Communities have the potential to bring hope, friends, laughter, joy, and unforgettable memories to people in that community and people who visit that community. I love that potential and I want to share it with you. That is why I’m a local guide to help the communities unique character to be “found” and for you to “lose” yourself into a wonderful experience.

The picture I share is from a recent trip to a rich, unique, diverse, delicious, and beautiful city and community, the city of Detroit. There’s so much good to be found and so much hope in that city. I want the light of that community and others to shine and for others to see the good that can be had.
