Germany Restaurant Experience

Owned by a Chinese Germany, this Germany restaurant and bar has several outlets in Jakarta with different names. The one that we visited was Die Stube.

Before talking about the ambiance, I would like to highlight one of their signature menu that requires 3 hours of preparation, so that we need to book in advance. The menu is Roasted Pork Knuckle that later I will review for sure.

So, Die Stube has both of the indoor and outdoor areas where the indoor area is divided into bar and restaurant area. We sat in the restaurant area that looks calmer with the dominated wooden colors, paintings, and decorations that depicts Germany. The place is comfortable with a friendly service.

They provide various foods and drinks, from appetizers, homemade sausages, snacks, beef, chicken, fish, pork, steak, as well as desserts, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Let’s see what we tried!

Roasted Pork Knuckle
One of the signature menu here that I have mentioned before.
Since this menu needs 3 hours of preparation, that’s why, we ordered it while making the reservation for dinner here. They told us that if we cancel the order less than 24 hours in advance, we will still be fully charged for it.

For this menu, we could choose two side dishes. Actually, we wanted to have creamy spinach as a side dish, but unfortunately, it was not available at that time, so we finally chose bacon beans and rösti (potato patty). It was a good choice because both were delicious! The beans were fresh, twisted with the bacon, while the rösti was big, crispy, and not too oily! Loved it

The roasted pork knuckle will definitely make everyone drool . The meat is so soft, and the skin is crispy. Best for sharing. Recommended and worth a try!

Grilled Pork Sausage with Roast Potatoes & Sauerkraut
There are some varieties of German sausages here. The staff recommends this grilled pork sausage (Bratwurst) to us. I think this is the biggest sausage I have ever had! This big and thick pork sausage is full of meat, served with roasted potatoes and sauerkraut (German-style pickles that are made with fermented cabbage).

For the alcoholic drinks, they provide so many choices, including the liquor. We had their German beer. We could say that the beer’s price here is not as high as in the restaurant in common. My brother recommends Konig Ludwig. It is so good and a perfect companion for the foods!

Have you ever visited a Germany restaurant?
Kindly share your favorite foods or beers there!
