I have tried to submit many different places during the years I use Google Maps. I have listed my little hostel in Kakheti region, Georgia (not US, but Republic of Georgia). Since most people consider Georgia to be an US state, I always try to explain to them that the little and historical country I come from has wonderful history, gorgeous sites and cuisine, that is the best in the world.
I have tried to evaluate small hotels in different places of Georgia. Some were the best and I wanted everybody to know about them. Some were not so good and I attempted to warn others about difficulties on unpleasant surprises they could meet there.
Now I am proud to be honored to apply for Connect Live 2019 and really hope that my experience could help others who begin being Local guides on their countries. Besides I really desire to learn more about being a guide and share others’ experiences.
In addition, I would love to have opportunity to tell the world about my country - known worldwide as Georgia and called by us, Georgians - Sakartvelo. I really hope that one day the world will accept this name and in future people would not be surprised that “there is another Georgia, outside of US”
