The history of this region goes back millions of years: it constitutes a privileged geological area, characterized by the presence of famous and spectacular footsteps of sauropod dinosaurs and theropods including the prehistoric site of Iroutane (Demnate region) and on various sites in the heart of the Ait Bouguemmez valley.
