Here is some photos from Geneva. It’s a very small city which we stayed only two days including Chamonix.
Funny advice: Try to ask for “Lemonade” around the lake from the food booths. They have NO idea what you are talking about! 
That’s still something that we talk about as the souvenir from Geneva!

what places would you recommend for someone who is going there for the first time?
hello @sparekh , the best thing to do in Geneva is actually walking on the narrow alleys and entering to the small shops , specially chocolate shops. 
There is a main street with a pretty nice food court and outdoor sitting tables. Besides that, there is that botanical garden, lake and water fountain in the city. It’s really a quiet and tiny city. We visited the united nation’s building as well.
