Generated albums and removing results in google photos?

I’m using the Google Photos (IOS app) and in the top of the albums tab in there own section are a few albums that Google has generated.

“places”, “things” etc…

The “things” tab is then further divided into type of thing.

A lot of these are excellent but some don’t match. I’m going through and being generous in edge cases, using the “remove results” option on all photos that don’t make sense. For example swans, cows laying down, and newborn seals are not dogs. Also everything with snow in it is not glacial.

Should I mark the following as incorrect?

Views out of aeroplane windows where none of the airoplane/window is showing?

What do you class as “Ranch”?

It’s picked up a lot of photos taken in England as Jungle. I can see why it has been fooled, these specific photos show dense, lush, very green forest, sometimes containing jagged hills and even in one place the occasional vine. Therefore? :man_shrugging:t2:

Is it a bridge if by design it doesn’t cross the water but ends in the middle?

It’s got all the beach ones correct except one which is looking out into a lake from some way into the lake. No beach is visible because it’s quite some distance behind me?

Hi @alan2here ,

Thanks for reaching out.

Please take a look at this article - Create and edit photo albums in Google Photos Help and its section “Change items in your album” in the middle of the page. There you’ll find how to organize photos in your albums.

This isn’t what I was asking.

Hey @alan2her to,

It would be great if you clear what is your question.

Thank you

Hi @alan2here

Local Guides Connect is a community of Local Guides. We are helping others improving the contents of Google Maps.

Google Photos is a different Google product, Even if all all products are interacting together, the information regarding the way Google Photos is automatically assigning categories to your photos is not related to Google Maps.

You can organise your photos creating albums, like @MashaPS suggest. For more information, you should reach the support forum of Google Photos, following this link: https://support.google.com/photos

Thank you
