Garipçe Castle located in Garipçe village in Istanbul, Turkey. which located on the Black Sea entrance of Istanbul Strait.
It was built between 1757 and 1774, during the reign of the Ottoman Sultan Mustafa III. Some sources state the Garipçe Castle was first built by the Genoese, during the 15th century.
The Castle was built to control the northern entrance to the Bosphorus from the Black Sea.
I have visited this Castle several times. every time I enjoy walking inside the Castle and enjoy watching the ships that cross front of the castle to the black sea. usually, local people visit this castle at the weekend with some food activates such as Bqq and drink tea and enjoyed the view of the sea.
