Kanpur: Holding immense faith in Ganga, a large number of people visit popular ghats to perform religious ceremonies and rituals that in Kanpur is one such ancient ghat which is popular among pilgrims. Previously in a dilapidated condition, the ghat has recently been revamped under the Namami Gange program. Under the Namami Gange program, adequate funds are provided to the civic body to regularly clean and maintain the ghats. This brings immense satisfaction to the locals and visitors. Being a local guide, I decided to visit this place myself. I was overwhelmed to see the progress and the running life these ghats have. So much faith and diversity, but my main ideology to see this holy water body was different I saw the holy ritual done by the people were making our river dirty and I wanted to raise a voice, a voice of concern to let the world know how important it is to keep our rivers clean to maintain a better habitat and keep our life happier.
