Since school days, I have a keen interest in photography and film-making. But due to unfavorable situations, I was not able to fulfill my dreams. When I got my second job in 2012, I bought a DSLR camera on the EMI of $49. I learned everything about Photography and Film-making from YouTube tutorials. Without any guidance, I just practiced, practiced and practiced. I always wanted to showcase my talent to the world. I wanted to tell everyone that even if you don’t have resources to fulfill your dreams, you can still make it happen. Today, I am proficient in both photography and film-making and also running a YouTube channel- InCorporate Movie Makers with 11K+ Subscribers.
Google Maps gave me the opportunity to share my talent with the world. I was not aware about the term called “Local Guide”. I just knew that it is platform where I can share my pictures which belongs to specific place or street. I got to know about other features later.
At some point of time, I realized that most of the people around me are totally depend on Google Maps. This forum is their first checkpoint before they step out their home. I share on Google Maps because I know I am helping and connecting people. On one hand, there is someone who is looking for a potential customer and on the other hand, there is someone who is looking for a good product and services. I am utilizing this platform to connect both of them by using my skills of photography. Wherever I go, I capture and try to gather more information about the place so that I can share more with other people. It has now become a part of routine. Whenever I see something new, I cannot stop myself to share it. I mostly contribute about local businesses and travel photography.
Being a local guide, I always feel excited to explore new places and share them with the world. I proud to be a part of Google as Local Guide and aspiring to be at Level 10. Thanks!
